After my tour in the U.S. Marines as a huey mechanic / crew chief / door gunner from ‘72-’78, I have been in the construction industry for 25 years. Starting as a laborer then progressing to framing carpenter, finish trim carpenter, cabinet maker, supervisor and finally project coordinator, attention to details has always been of paramount importance to me.
Many times during a remodel a client thought something was disturbed during construction or one of the sub contractors could not remember exactly where one of his employees had installed something. I have seen companies fold because of litigation problems that could not be solved short of tearing a project apart.
With Virtual Blueprints, or “digital as builts”, I hope to pre resolve these kind of situations by providing detailed interactive panoramas of construction projects. I Have always taken progressive site photographs and walk around videos for the contractors I have worked for and realized that they do not convey the entire picture. When I discovered interactive panoramic photography, I immediately knew this is what I can do to improve job site recording and reduce litigation between contractors and homeowners.
